Baron von Munchhausen is a braggart of the best, or worst, kind! He has flown on canon balls, pulled himself out of the swamp by his ponytail, been chased by a pack of 300 wolves, fallen straight through Earth and said hello to the god Vulcan on his way, flown all the way to the moon on a birds back and much , MUCH more. The Baron's burlesque boasts and bravado are virtually custom-made for the Teater Joker universe, centered around playful humans and children's imagination. The baron travels to the moon, to Russia, to Turkey, always by incredible means.

The show opened in September 2009 at the Contemporary Theatre Festival, in Oslo. It has been a huge success, and since the opening it has been performed over 350 times. It has visited China 2 times (2012 and in 2015), Iran in 2011 and Sweden in 2010.
The show is based on the wonderful and incredible stories of Baron Von Munchhausen. On a limited barren stage the company uses cartoon-mime, puppets and masks to unfold the Baron´s adventures. This is a world where the most incredible things can happen: a world without impossibilities, only possibilities!
The Baron’s burlesque boasts and bravado are virtually custom-made for Teater Joker´s universe, which is centred around playful humans and children’s imagination.
On a limited barren stage the company uses its signature form, cartoon mime , to unfold the Baron´s adventures, using only their bodies and voices. The Baron travels to the moon, Russia, Turkey, and always by incredible means.

By the way, Baron von Munchhausen really existed. He was a German aristocrat and teller of anecdotes, and his incredible tales are among the great literary classics.
